Morgan starred alongside other actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women, which focuses on AIDS prevention as well as education. The profits from this film were donated in part towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part-time member on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the driving force behind numerous fund-raising efforts for the spread of the disease. She also addressed an Congressional special committee on AIDS education. She sits on the Board of Governors of APLA and Board of Directors of Amfar. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general of Canada has requested that she replace him on occasions at AIDS associated events. In addition, she was the host of an AIDS Awareness Special together with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her two times about AIDS in Nightline. Morgan is nominated as one of the Emmy award winner in Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written specifically for Morgan. In the spring, she starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. In the following week, she kicked off her season of summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. The show also had Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. The next film she was in brought Morgan to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's production of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that also featured Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the film, a psychological thriller that was produced by USA Network. The film received one of the highest ratings ever.
