Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1997 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval by music journalists and press. The artist has already recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by the band Oasis to promote a Christmas ad from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. This brought her some recognition. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano in her attic and being captivated by the sound it made. The parents of her May-Britt family as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a profession or a pastime, but to grow. They inspired her to write. After her mom informed her that her music would not just help her gain fame, but also make others see their value to the world and appreciate the possibilities for the songs She decided to start playing in front of the public.
