Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani Marley is among the richest and most well-known Reggae Singer who was born on February 26 1976, in Falmouth Jamaica. He starred in the cult classic film Shottas opposite another singer Wyclef Jean. Ky-Mani enlisted Shang Records where he recorded his debut album in 1996. Like Father Like Son and several singles: Judge Not with Patra and Dear Dad" (which topped the British reggae charts) Who The Cap is (remix) and Sensimelia each of which contributed to his rising popularity in the new generation of reggae singers. In 1997, Ky-Mani teamed up along with Praswell (Fugees) for Avenue a hit cover version from Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley appeared at the Midem performance (an international music festival) that was the first time it was staged in Miami. Marley performed a set live at the Cameo Theatre, which was broadcast by Caribbean News Agency across 36 countries. Marley's name was soon the focus of a bidding war. In 1997, he signed with Gee Street/V2 Records
